Nick and Lucy Wright, Fellows of BAPCR - the British Association of Paintings Conservator Restorers - fine art restoration specialising in the care and repair of oil paintings.
The practice was established in 1994 and we provide a full conservation and restoration service to private individuals, collectors, galleries and regional museums.
We undertake:
- Picture cleaning and retouching
- Consolidation of loose or flaking paint
- Canvas repair, including composition lining
- Panel repair
- Free estimates, without obligation
- Home visits
- Collection surveys and condition reports
- Reports for insurance claims
Our experience covers oil paintings from 16th and 17th centuries through to modern works, with special interest in 19th and 20th century Scottish paintings.
We work from a purpose-built conservation studio with ample space to accommodate large canvasses.
Nick Wright is also able to offer a composition lining service to other conservators.
We are each individually accredited by BAPCR and adhere to the high ethical standards of reversibility and minimal treatment set out by our professional association.
